Farmer Registry 2025: Step-by-Step Guide for All State Farmers

Farmer Registry 2025: Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman announced in the Budget 2024-25 that the government plans to create a digital platform for agriculture, consolidating all farmer-related information in one place. She highlighted that the government has already launched the Agri Stack Portal, a platform for the Farmer Registry. Through this portal, farmers will be linked to the land registry system and issued a Kisan Unique ID.

What Is Farmer Registry ?

Agristack Portal is a digital ecosystem for the Indian agriculture sector and Indian farmers developed by the Government of India (Department of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare). The Agristack Portal aims to create a complete digital database of farmers which includes information about their identity, land records, income, loans, crop information, and assistance given to them.

In the Agristack portal, the farmer will give all his information through the farmer registry and he will be given a farmer ID. With the help of this farmers will be able to get information about their land records, government schemes, and assistance. Through the Agristack farmer registry, the government will get all the information of the farmers, which will make it very easy for the government to provide assistance to the farmers and start a new scheme for them.

Step-by-Step Process for Farmer Registry Self-Registration Online

First of all type “Agristack [your state name]” in Google (different links for each state). Click on the official website link of your state’s Farmer Registry.
After the website opens, select the “Farmer” option in “Log in as”
Now click on the “Create New Account” option and enter your Aadhaar number then click on the “Submit” button.
Now an OTP will be sent to the mobile number linked with your Aadhaar. Enter the OTP and click on “Verify”.
Now your Aadhaar card details will be automatically fetched and displayed. Check it

Your KYC Details Check

Verify your name, date of birth, gender, and address.
If any details need to be updated, correct them.
Click on the green “Verify OK” and a popup will open.
To verify your mobile number, you will receive an OTP on the mobile number linked with your Aadhaar, enter that OTP and click on the ‘Verify’ button. (After clicking on Verify, Show Masaage on Display like this- Verification Successfully – Your user account has been successfully activated. You can now log in to register and manage your account.)
Create a strong password (e.g., Name@123) and click on “Create My Account”.

Log in to Your Account using the Password

After creating your new account, again click on the “Farmer” option.
Enter your registered mobile number and the password you created.
Now enter the captcha code and click on login.

Now Fill Farmer & Land Details

Now Click on “Register as Farmer”.
Verify all information including name, date of birth, address, and caste category with your Aadhaar.
Select your caste category and identity type – like “SO (son of)”, WO (wife of )”, CO (care of), or DO (daughter of).

Land Ownership Details

Now on the land ownership details page, select the “Owner” option.
In the occupation details, you have to choose one of the two options. 1. Agriculture 2.Land owning Farmer
Now click on “Fetch Land Details”
Enter your survey number and sub-survey number, then click “Submit.” The system will automatically retrieve the landowner’s name under “Select Name of Owner and Identifier.” Click on the displayed name.
Your land details will be shown automatically.
Select the land you want to register by checking the corresponding box, then click “Submit”
Finally, click “Verify All Lands.”
Choose the Department of Approval from Agriculture or Revenue.
In Farmer Consent Click on the “I Agree” option, and click Save.

E-Sign with Aadhaar

Provide your Aadhaar Number and click the Submit button. An OTP will be sent to the mobile number linked with your Aadhaar.
Enter the OTP to complete the verification process.
Upon successful registration, your Kisan ID will be generated, and you can download the PDF.
